About Us
The Pan-African Institute of Municipal Development (PIMD) supports the development of African countries by providing workforce development training, capacity building, and technical assistance to municipal governments. PIMD achieves these missions by leveraging the expertise of our local, national, and international partners to provide platforms and tools to assist municipal managers and in acquiring the advanced training, knowledge, and skills necessary to meet the needs of local communities.

Knowledge Transfer
ICMA was honored to have participated in the Good Governance Executive Leadership Program
managed by PIMD in 2022. The program was well developed and organized, and ICMA valued the
exchange with the participants- local government officials and technical directors from Senegal. As an international membership association, ICMA values these types of engagement, which provide
opportunities to share good practices and improve good governance worldwide.
